We are excited about the record amounts of investment coming to Blackpool and while researching the opportunities this investment might present; we thought it would be helpful to share some of the headlines on this blog.
Blackpool Central
The biggest single investment in Blackpool for more than a century.
The 17-acre £300 million development will bring world class visitor attractions to the famous landmark site on the Golden Mile.
Highlights include:
· The world’s first flying theatre,
· The world’s first multimedia exhibition of its kind
· The most advanced virtual reality experience on an epic scale
On top of this the site will be home to new high-end hotels and restaurants, as well as a food market, event square, along with residential apartments with multi storey parking.
600,000 additional visitors are expected annually, with an estimated spend of £75 million, creating 1000 jobs in the process.
Southern Quarter/ Revoe Community Sports Village
The aim of this project is to support sport and community activities in the heart of Blackpool, being one of 7 schemes receiving funding from Blackpool’s £39.5m town deal.
This funding will aid in the generation of the area, working with Blackpool Football Club and the BFC community trust.
Expected benefits of the project are general improvement of the local area including:
· A new sports facility open to the community
· New business space creating jobs
· A nicer neighbourhood to live, work and socialise in.
We strongly believe these schemes validate our belief that Blackpool as a property market is an exciting place to invest and the potential for capital growth is excellent and among the best in the country.
The current low prices make investment relatively low risk with the rental yields already very strong.
As these schemes start to take shape over the next couple of years its inevitable investment in the town will rise and the price of property is certain to follow suit.
If you are looking for an area to invest with strong rental demand with positive cashflow then you should consider Blackpool.
